You might want to keep a printout of the AdventureWorks SQL Server 2000 Sample XML and the XSD available when you read about the key objects of the metadata model. You can find the BdcMetadata.XSD file typically at %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office Server\12.0\Bin.
