These POSIX functions are deprecated beginning in Visual C++ 2005. Use the ISO C++ conformant _strupr, _strupr_l, _mbsupr, _mbsupr_l, _wcsupr_l, _wcsupr or security-enhanced _strupr_s, _strupr_s_l, _mbsupr_s, _mbsupr_s_l, _wcsupr_s, _wcsupr_s_l instead.

As far as I can tell, this page is totally wrong. strupr is not specified by POSIX, and __strupr is not specified by ISO C++.
