Enumerates a list of open transactions on the database.
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo (in Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll)
Return ValueType: System.Data.DataTable
A DataTable object value that contains a list of open transactions that affect the database. The table describes the different columns of the returned DataTable.
The name of the transaction.
The ID value that uniquely identifies the transaction. See sys.dm_tran_active_transactions (Transact-SQL).
The date and time when the transaction started.
The session ID that uniquely identifies the session in which the transaction is running.
The name of the database in which the transaction is running.
The ID value of the database in which the transaction is running.
The date and time when the database came online.
The Boolean value that specifies whether the transaction is a snapshot transaction and has a sequence number. See TransactionTypes enumeration class.
The example runs a Server object enumeration method, but extracting the information from the object is the same for Database enumeration methods.
'Connect to the local, default instance of SQL Server. Dim srv As Server srv = New Server 'Call the EnumCollations method and return collation information to DataTable variable. Dim d As DataTable 'Select the returned data into an array of DataRow. d = srv.EnumCollations 'Iterate through the rows and display collation details for the instance of SQL Server. Dim r As DataRow Dim c As DataColumn For Each r In d.Rows Console.WriteLine("============================================") For Each c In r.Table.Columns Console.WriteLine(c.ColumnName + " = " + r(c).ToString) Next Next
