How to: View SQL Server Agent Error Log (SQL Server Management Studio)
This topic describes how to view the Microsoft SQL Server Agent error log.

In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.

Expand SQL Server Agent, expand Error Logs, right-click the error log you want to view, and then click View Agent Log.

In the Select logs pane, click a type of logged item to filter the log contents.

Optionally, click the Filter button and enter parameter values in the Filter Settings dialog box to filter the log contents.

Check Apply Filter if you have selected filter parameters, and click OK in the Filter Settings dialog box.

Under Log file summary, view the log contents.
