View the Build Results Window
After the system has completed your build, you can double-click it in Build Explorer to view the results. Inside the report you can also take some actions; you can open the drop folder, rate the build quality, and even delete the build.
If the completed build did not succeed, errors shown in the build results window can provide you with information to resolve problems, and often you can click the error to view the file that contains the problem.
In a graph of recently run builds of the same build definition, for each build you can see how long it took to run and whether it succeeded or failed. You can also click a bar in the graph to display the results for that completed build.
To perform this procedure, you must have the Team Foundation Server View Builds permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
To view the build results window
In Team Explorer, right-click the Builds node and click View Builds.
Build Explorer appears.
To view completed or queued builds for only one build definition, in Team Explorer, open the Builds folder, right-click the build definition name, and then click View Builds.
Perform one of the following steps:
Click the Completed tab to access the completed builds.
Click the Queued tab to access the in-progress builds.
If you do not see all the build you are looking for, check the values in the filter menus located at the top of the Build Explorer window.
Right-click the build that you want to view and click Open.
The build results window appears.
