InstanceName Property (ServerNetworkProtocol Class)

SQL Server 2008 R2

Gets the name of the instance of Microsoft SQL Server that is referenced by the server network protocol. 

Copy 

object.InstanceName [= value]
object

A ServerNetworkProtocol Class object that represents the network protocol used by the instance of SQL Server.

A string value that specifies the name of the instance of SQL Server referenced by the server network protocol.
