Surface Area Configuration for Features (xp_cmdshell) - Database Engine

The xp_cmdshell extended stored procedure executes a command string as an operating-system command shell and returns any output as rows of text. Use the xp_cmdshell dialog in Surface Area Configuration to configure xp_cmdshell support.
