public abstract class PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider : ContextMenuProvider

The PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider type exposes the following members.

  Name Description
Protected method PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider Initializes a new instance of the PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider class.

Public method Equals Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected method Finalize Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method GetHashCode Serves as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method GetType Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected method MemberwiseClone Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method ToString Returns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method Update Raises the UpdateItemStatus event so the visibility and enabled status of menu items can be refreshed. (Inherited from ContextMenuProvider.)

  Name Description
Public event UpdateItemStatus Occurs when the menu item is about to be shown. (Inherited from ContextMenuProvider.)

Inherit from the PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider class to add the context menu items that appear when a control is selected on the design surface. Handle the UpdateItemStatus event to set up MenuAction items before the context menu is displayed.

The following code example shows how to derive a custom type from the PrimarySelectionContextMenuProvider class. The derived type implements a custom context menu, which sets the Background property of a control at design time. For more information, see Walkthrough: Creating a Menu Provider.
