uri: The Uri to use when creating the System.Net.WebRequest.

Return Value

A WebRequest that represents a request to a specified URI.

Exceptions

Exception type	Condition
ArgumentException	uri is not accessible through HTTP or HTTPS.
InvalidOperationException	uri is null.

Remarks

This protected method is called by the .NET Framework SDK to make a synchronous request to an XML Web service.
