FileSystemProxy.GetTempFileName Method

Creates a uniquely named zero-byte temporary file on disk and returns the full path of that file.

Namespace:  Microsoft.VisualBasic.MyServices
Assembly:  Microsoft.VisualBasic (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll)

public string GetTempFileName()

Return Value

Type: System.String
String containing the full path of the temporary file.

This method can be used to create a temporary file.

This example creates a temp file and returns its path.
