Gets the pipe object that allows the caller to send result sets, messages, and the results of executing commands back to the client.

Property Value

Type: Microsoft.SqlServer.Server..::.SqlPipe
An instance of SqlPipe if a pipe is available, or nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if called in a context where pipe is not available (for example, in a user-defined function).

If invoked from outside SQL Server, a NotSupportedException is thrown.

This property is read-only.
