IDTSInputColumn100.IsValid Property

Gets a value that indicates whether an input column references an upstream column.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline.Wrapper
Assembly:  Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrap (in Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrap.dll)

[DispIdAttribute()]
bool IsValid { get; }

Property Value

Type: Boolean
true if the IDTSOutputColumn100 object still exists and has the same properties; otherwise, false.

Input columns always reference an output column from an upstream component. The output column of the upstream component is identified by the LineageID property of the input column. An input column is no longer valid if a column upstream from the input column cannot be found that has the same lineage ID as the input column. These types of columns are often referred to as orphans because their origination no longer exists.
