SPWeb.Locale property

Gets or sets the locale that is used when time, currency and numeric fields are rendered on the website.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SharePoint
Assembly:  Microsoft.SharePoint (in Microsoft.SharePoint.dll)
public CultureInfo Locale { get; set; }

Property value

Type: System.Globalization.CultureInfo
An object with culture-specific information.

The locale of a website is used in rendering time, currency and numeric fields. It is different from the default language (the value of the Language property) in that the default language is set when a new site is created and cannot be changed. Initially, the locale is set to be the same as the default language, but it can later be changed by setting the Locale property.
