[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Gets a string that identifies the current group.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon
Assembly:  Microsoft.Office.Tools.Common (in Microsoft.Office.Tools.Common.dll)
string Id { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.String
A string that identifies the current group.

By default, the Id property has the same value as the Name property. If no value is specified for the Name property, then Visual Studio generates a value for the Id property.

All components in an OfficeRibbon object must have unique Id property values.

The Id property corresponds to the id attribute of components in the Ribbon XML file.
