Policy.CreatePolicy Method

Creates an information policy in the specified content type.

Parameters

ct: Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPContentType
The SPContentType object in which to create the information policy.

globalPolicy: Type: Microsoft.Office.RecordsManagement.InformationPolicy.Policy
The site information policy to copy into the specified content type.

Remarks

If you pass a null reference as the globalPolicy parameter, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 creates an empty information policy in the content type.

Information policies are stored in SPContentType objects as an XMLDocument object. For more information about information policies in content types, see Policies in Content Types.
