Member nameDescription
UCCMDCR_DEVICE_FAILUREA flag to indicate that a device change is due to a failure to initiate a selected or preferred device. In this case, the changed device is a NULL device.
UCCMDCR_SYSTEM_INITIATED_CHANGEA flag to indicate that the device was unplugged or disabled from Device Manager on the local computer.
UCCMDCR_USER_INITIATED_CHANGEA flag to indicate that the user initiated the device change.

An application can examine the reasons for a device change event by reading the Reason property of IUccMediaDeviceChangeEvent. This is returned as the event argument by the OnMediaDeviceChanged/OnDefaultMediaDeviceChanged/OnMediaDeviceAdded/ OnMediaDeviceRemoved/OnSelectedMediaDeviceChanged event.
