JScriptException Class

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

The exception that is thrown by JScript to notify a common language runtime (CLR) host or program that an error occurred. A JScriptException usually takes a JSError enumeration value.

The JScriptException type exposes the following members.

Public method JScriptException() Initializes a new instance of the JScriptException class.
Public method JScriptException(JSError) Initializes a new instance of the JScriptException class, using the specified JSError.
Public method JScriptException(String) Initializes a new instance of the JScriptException class, using the specified error message.
Protected method JScriptException(SerializationInfo, StreamingContext) Initializes a new instance of the JScriptException class, using the specified serialized data.
Public method JScriptException(String, Exception) Initializes a new instance of the JScriptException class, using the specified error message and a reference to the inner exception that is the cause of this exception.

Public property LineText Gets the text of the code in which the error occurs.
Public property Message Gets a message that describes the error. (Overrides Exception.Message.)
Public property Number Gets the HResult code of the error.
Public property Severity Gets a number between 0 (most severe) and 4 (least severe) that indicates the severity of the error. 0 is the default.
Public property Source Gets or sets the name of the application or the object that causes the error. (Inherited from Exception.)
Public property SourceItem Gets the source code item that caused the error.
Public property SourceMoniker Gets the name of the source code file that contains the error.
Public property StackTrace Gets the stack trace information at the time of the error. (Overrides Exception.StackTrace.)

A JScriptException is also an IVsaError and can be passed to the host through OnCompilerError(IVsaError).
