How to: Verify a Successful Installation

Speech Server 2007

After installing Speech Server, verify that the services on each computer running Speech Server installed and started correctly.

Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.
Expand Services and Applications, and then click Services.
In the details pane, verify that the Speech Server service started.
If it failed to start, right-click Speech Server, and then click Start.
If the service does not start, check the event log for errors:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer.
2. Click Application, and then address errors generated by MsiInstaller that appear in the details pane.
Repeat steps 1 through 4.
