Container.Add Method (IComponent, String)

Adds the specified Component to the Container and assigns it a name.

Namespace:  System.ComponentModel
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)
public virtual void Add(
	IComponent component,
	string name
)

Parameters

component
Type: System.ComponentModel.IComponent
The component to add.
name
Type: System.String
The unique, case-insensitive name to assign to the component.
-or-
null, which leaves the component unnamed.

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

component is null.

ArgumentException

name is not unique.

This method can be overridden by a derived class.

The new Component is added to the end of the list.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1
