Enum.ToObject Method (Type, Object)

Returns an instance of the specified enumeration set to the specified value.

Parameters

enumType

An enumeration.

value

The value.

Return Value

An enumeration object whose value is value.
Exception typeCondition

ArgumentNullException

enumType is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

ArgumentException

enumType is not an Enum.

-or-

value is not type SByte, Int16, Int32, Int64, Byte, UInt16, UInt32, or UInt64.

The value parameter is specified in terms of the underlying type of the enumeration.
