Review information on installing and configuring File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) on your Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) device.

We recommend that you install File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) at design time by using Image Configuration Editor (ICE). You can also deploy FBWF at run time by using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM).
