TerminalServices-LocalSessionManager (Standard 8 Module Reference)

7/8/2014

Review the settings, dependencies and any notes for the TerminalServices-LocalSessionManager section of the Embedded Core module in the Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) module catalog.

This setting specifies whether the computer starts and implements Fast User Switching (FUS). FUS utilizes the data separation technology of user profiles, providing a fast and convenient mechanism for switching between user accounts.

To enable Remote Desktop connections, several settings must be configured during an unattended installation. You must enable Remote Desktop connections by using the fDenyTSConnections setting. You must also enable the Remote Desktop group in Windows Firewall as described in Group.

Terminal Services uses terminal emulation to deliver the Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) desktop and applications to a wide variety of devices.
