The Microsoft Lync 2013 Preview SDK is designed for software developers who intend to build custom Microsoft Lync 2013 Preview applications or embed collaboration functionality in line-of-business (LOB) applications that interoperate with other custom Lync SDK clients or Lync 2013 Preview and Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Preview. By using Lync 2013 Preview, a developer can provide instant messaging (IM), voice, video, application sharing, and meeting session functionality in a custom client or LOB application.
Microsoft Lync 2013 Preview API combines Lync 2013 Preview API UI Automation with the functionality of Microsoft Unified Communications Client API.
Lync SDK includes the following components:
Lync 2013 Preview API.
Lync 2013 Preview SDK documentation.
Microsoft.Lync.Model.dll managed assembly exposes project types.
Microsoft.Lync.Controls.dll and Microsoft.Lync.Controls.Framework assemblies expose the Microsoft Lync 2013 Preview Controls that are integrated into a Microsoft Silverlight or Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) project.
The Lync 2013 Preview Controls are used to integrate Lync 2013 Preview features such as search, presence, IM calls, and voice calls, into applications.
