Defines the properties of an External Content Type identifier and a method to get the corresponding External Content Type.

The Identifier type exposes the following members.

	Name	Description
	DefaultDisplayName	Gets or sets the default display name. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	Entity	Gets the External Content Type to which the Identifier belongs.
	Id	Gets the identifier of the MetadataObject object. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	IsCached	Indicates whether the object is cached. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	LocalizedDisplayName	Gets or sets the localized display name. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	LocalizedDisplayNames	Gets the collection of localized display names. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	Name	Gets or sets the name of the object. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	OrdinalNumber	Gets the ordinal number of the Identifier object from the database sequencing.
	Properties	Gets the property collection of the object. (Inherited from MetadataObject.)
	Type	Gets or sets the type of the Identifier.

	Read	Reads the Identifier object from the Business Data Connectivity (BDC) service metadata store, overwriting the current value of the fields of the object with whatever was present in the metadata store. (Overrides MetadataObject.Read().)

	ReadXml	Reads the Identifier definition from the specified metadata XML for the specified external content type.
