Troubleshooting Automatic Native Image Generation
Automatic native image generation optimizes the performance of Windows Store apps that are written for Windows 8 using C# or Visual Basic, or Windows Store apps that include a Windows Runtime component that is written using C# or Visual Basic. It can improve both startup and execution times for your app. For more information, see Creating Native Images.
Testing your app for automatic native image generation is part of certification testing for the Windows Store. If errors occur during testing, see the article Known issues in automatic native image generation on the Microsoft Support website for information about known issues and steps for reporting problems.
If there is no other alternative, you can disable automatic native image generation for your app by including a file named nongen.txt in your app package. Note that doing this may negatively affect startup and execution times for your app. If you take this step, please file a Connect bug as described in the article Known issues in automatic native image generation on the Microsoft Support website.
