How to: Identify Principal Inputs
You must run the Identify P.I. - Batch batch job to identify the principal material inputs for all production BOMs every financial year. You can also run this batch job if any corrections are made to the production BOM before the end of the financial year to identify the revised principal inputs.
To identify principal inputs for a production BOM
In the Search box, enter Identify Principal Inputs, and then choose the related link.
On the Options FastTab, in the P.I. Identification Date field, enter the date for which you want to run the batch job.
Note
The production BOM will be effective as of this date.
On the Production BOM Line FastTab, select the appropriate filters.
Warning
You must select Production BOM No. as a filter to run this batch job.
Choose the OK button.
