How to: Set Up Input Service Distribution
To use input service distribution, you must set up the following:
Service tax. For more information, see How to: Set Up Service Tax.
Input service distribution for a location. For more information, see Location Table and Location Card Window.
Input service distribution for a company. For more information, see Company Information Table and Company Information Window.
A number series for service tax distribution and the posted service tax distribution. For more information, see General Ledger Setup Table and General Ledger Setup Window.

The following procedures describe how to set up input service distribution for a location and a company, and how to assign number series for service tax distribution.
To set up input service distribution for a location
In the Search box, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, choose New.
On the General FastTab, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.
Field Description Code
The location code.
Name
The name of the location code.
On the Tax Information FastTab, select the Input Service Distributor check box to activate the input service distribution.
Choose OK.
To set up input service distribution for a company
In the Search box, enter Company Information, and then choose the related link.
On the General FastTab, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.
Field Description Name
The name of the company.
Address
The address of the company.
On the Tax Information FastTab, in the Service Tax section, select the Input Service Distributor check box to activate the input service distribution.
Choose OK.
To configure number series for service tax distribution
In the Search box, enter General Ledger Setup, and then choose the related link.
On the Numbering FastTab, fill in the fields as described in the following table.
Field Description Service Tax Distribution Nos.
The service tax credit distribution number series.
S.T. Posted Distribution Nos.
The service tax posted distribution number series.
Choose OK.
