Gets or sets the longitude.

Number

The longitude value is a range from -180.0 to 180.0. Setting the longitude outside of that range will throw an exception.

Because the Latitude and Longitude properties require explicit user opt-in consent on first use, only apps that require the location capability should use these. See Guidelines for devices that access personal data.

Per Windows 8 guidelines, when obtaining location, set desiredAccuracy=Default, and use a single-shot call pattern, such as a command pattern, to minimize power consumption.
