Install Windows PowerShell 2.0

Windows PowerShell 2.0 needs to be installed on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista only. It is already installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7.

To install Windows PowerShell 2.0

  1. Go to Windows Management Framework (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=177670).

  2. Review the information on the Web page, and then click the link for the download of the Windows Management Framework Core for your platform in the Download Information section.

  3. On the Update page, click Download.

  4. When the download is complete, click Finish.
