HttpClient.PostAsync Method (Uri, HttpContent)

Send a POST request to the specified Uri as an asynchronous operation.

Parameters

requestUri
Type: System.Uri

The Uri the request is sent to.

content
Type: System.Net.Http.HttpContent

The HTTP request content sent to the server.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task(HttpResponseMessage)
Returns Task(TResult).
The task object representing the asynchronous operation.
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The requestUri was a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

This operation will not block. The returned Task(TResult) object will complete after the whole response (including content) is read.
