create method

Creates a new IHTMLAudioElement object.


HRESULT retVal = object.create(src, oAudio);

src [in, optional]

Type: VARIANT

URL of an audio resource.

oAudio [out, retval]

Type: IHTMLAudioElement

Address of a pointer to an IHTMLAudioElement interface.

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

The IHTMLMediaElement::src attribute of the new audio element is set to the the value of the passed src parameter.

This interface provides support in Windows Internet Explorer 9 for the script statement:


new audio();
