Microsoft Sync Framework 4.0 October 2010 CTP Documentation

The Microsoft Sync Framework 4.0 October 2010 Community Technology Preview (CTP) is built on top of Sync Framework 2.1. In fact, Sync Framework 2.1 is a pre-requisite for installing this CTP release. The RTW release of Sync Framework 4.0 will not require version 2.1 as a pre-requisite; it will be a comprehensive release.
This help file contains the documentation for new features introduced in this CTP release. For Sync Framework 2.1 documentation, visit Sync Framework 2.1 Help.
The CTP bits are provided only for the sole purpose of internal testing, prototyping and provision of feedback to Microsoft. You should not use or test the software in a live or production environment. The protocol and API introduced with this CTP release may change in the forthcoming preview release or final release.

The final release of Microsoft Sync Framework 4.0 has been postponed. At this time we do not have an expected release date, but do not expect it to be available in 2011. We do plan to make the 4.0 CTP capabilities available as source code samples in lieu of the formal release. Please check the 4.0 CTP forum for news about the samples release. |
