3/12/2014
Internet Explorer Embedded is based on Internet Explorer 7, and it exposes all the components and APIs of Internet Explorer 7. There are a few differences:
- Internet Explorer Embedded supports scripting with JScript and Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) when you include these catalog items in your OS design. For more information, see Internet Explorer Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
- Internet Explorer Embedded supports XML if you include the Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) parser in your OS design. For more information, see XML Data Islands Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
