There are two or more registry keys with the name of '<keyname>' and the condition '<condition>'

Visual Studio .NET 2003

Registry keys with the same name cannot be placed at the same level in the registry hierarchy unless they specify different conditions that would prevent them from both being added to the registry.

To correct this error

  1. Double-click the error in the Task List to go to the registry key in the Registry Editor.
  2. Delete the duplicate registry key, or select the Condition property in the Properties window and enter a different condition.
