# requestStart property

The IHTMLPerformanceTiming::requestStart property must return the time immediately before the user agent starts requesting the current document from the server, from relevant application caches, or from local resources.

## Syntax

```HRESULT value = object.get_requestStart(ULONGLONG* p);
```

## Property values

Type: ULONGLONG

An ULONGLONG value that represents the time immediately before the user agent starts requesting the current document from the server, from relevant application caches, or from local resources.

## Remarks

The value reported by the IHTMLPerformanceTiming::requestStart property represents the number of milliseconds between the recorded time and midnight January 1, 1970 (UTC).
