removeRange method
Removes a range from a selection.

var retval = HTMLSelection.removeRange(range);Parameters

Range to remove.
Return value
Type: HRESULT
If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks
Windows Internet Explorer 9 does not currently support multiple or disjointed selections in standards mode.
