Use the Messenger Application control to initialize Windows Live Messenger UI controls. Exactly one instance of this tag must exist on each page. More than one instance per page will return an error. To use the tag, add its markup to your HTML document.

The msgr:app tag provides application-level information, and it cannot be created programmatically.

The following example shows how to insert the Messenger Application control into a webpage.

The following table lists the attributes for the Messenger Application control.

Sets the name used for the application contacts group in the contact list.

application-icon

Sets a URL that references the application's icon. The application icon indicates which contacts are application contacts, as opposed to user contacts. If the application has provided application contacts, the application icon is visible in the contact list The icon is positioned to the left of the application contacts group name. The icon's image size should be 16 x 16 pixels.

application-logo

Sets a URL that references the application's logo. This logo is visible when the user's consent to run the application is requested. If an application logo is not provided, a question mark image replaces the logo. The logo's image size should be 96 x 96 pixels.
