Create a custom SketchFlow workspace

You can easily create a custom workspace for SketchFlow projects. When you first open Microsoft Expression Blend, you see the default workspace. You can simplify the workspace by closing the panels that you don't use during the prototyping process. First, hide the panels that you may use infrequently, and then save that workspace as a custom workspace. By saving your workspace as a custom workspace, you can access it quickly whenever you are working on a SketchFlow project.

To create a custom SketchFlow workspace

1. Create a new SketchFlow project.

2. Press TAB or F4 to hide all the panels. The panels will collapse, leaving the panel names visible inside tabs along the edge of the workspace.

3. Decide which panels you are most likely to use, such as the SketchFlow Map panel. Move your pointer over the tab of each panel that you want to keep open and, in the upper-right corner of the panel, click Turn Off AutoHide . You can turn off AutoHide for additional panels later if you decide that you want them to be more available.

4. On the Window menu, click Save as New Workspace. In the Save as New Workspace dialog box, in the Name box, type a name for your custom workspace ("SketchFlow," for example), and then click OK.

   

You can now easily access your custom "SketchFlow" workspace by clicking Window, pointing to Workspaces, and then clicking SketchFlow.
