Installing/Uninstalling the Web Service Software Factory 2010 VSIX

To Install and run the Web Service Software Factory 2010 vsix, you need the following software installed on your computer:

System Requirements

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate, Premium, or Professional)
  • Guidance Automation Extensions 2010
  • Visual Studio 2010 SDK

To install the Service Factory 2010 VSIX

  1. Make sure that your computer meets the above System Requirements
  2. Download WSSF2010.VSIX. Click on Run when finished downloading. This completes the installing process. Or click on Save to save the file on your hard drive and double-click WSSF2010.vsix to start the installation.
  3. Start Visual Studio 2010.

To uninstall the Service Factory 2010 VSIX

  1. Start Visual Studio 2010.
  2. Click on Tools > Extension Manager.
  3. Click Uninstall on the Web Service Software Factory 2010.
  4. Then, click Uninstall on each of the following:
    • Web Service Software Factory 2010 DC Model
    • Web Service Software Factory 2010 Host Designer
    • Web Service Software Factory 2010 SC Model
  5. Restart Visual Studio 2010.

Downloading and Building the Web Service Software Factory 2010 Source Code

To build the Web Service Software Factory 2010 source code, you need the following software installed on your computer:

System Requirements

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate, Premium, or Professional).
  • Visual Studio 2010 SDK
  • Guidance Automation Extensions 2010
  • Guidance Automation Toolkit 2010
  • Visual Studio 2010 Visualization and Modeling SDK

To build the Service Factory 2010 Source Code

  1. Make sure that your computer meets the above System Requirements
  2. Download WSSF2010 Source Code and unzip the source to a short path ( such as C:\mytest\WSSF2010Source)
  3. Start Visual Studio 2010
  4. Open Web Service Software Factory 2010 (With Tests).sln

    Note: If you use Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2010 Professional edition, you need to remove the FXCop.Rules.WcfSemantic project and the reference to it from the above solution.

  5. Build the solution
  6. After a success build, WebServiceSoftwareFactory2010-Debug.vsix will be copied to Vsix Drops folder
