Syntax Conventions (Azure SQL Database)

SUSER_SNAME ()

nvarchar(128)

Microsoft Microsoft Azure SQL Database does not support the server_user_sid parameter for SUSER_SNAME. It will always return the login name for the current security context. In Microsoft Azure SQL Database, the SUSER_SNAME statement does not support execution using an impersonated security context through EXECUTE AS (Azure SQL Database).

For more information about the SUSER_SNAME statement, see SUSER_SNAME in SQL Server Books Online.
