How to: Import and Export a Model

Solver Foundation 3.0

You can import models in the .MPS, .QPS, .CORE, .COR, and .OML file formats into the Solver Foundation Excel add-in. After you are done with the model, you can export it back to the .MPS, .QPS, .CORE, .COR, or .OML file formats.

To import a model

  1. Click the Solver Foundation ribbon in Microsoft Excel 2007 or Microsoft Excel 2010.

  2. Click Import.

    The Import dialog box opens.

  3. Optionally, change the file type to the file format that you want to open.

  4. Browse to the model that you want to open.

  5. Click Open.

To export a model

  1. Click the Solver Foundation ribbon in Microsoft Excel 2007 or Microsoft Excel 2010.

  2. Click Export.

    The Export dialog box opens.

  3. Browse to the folder where you want to save the model.

  4. In the Save as type field, select the file format that you want to save the model as.

  5. Click Save.
