Overview
Wave Test ensures that an audio device and driver meet the basic requirements for capture and playback of PCM data.
Details
This test requires that an audio device and driver are installed on a test system. The test exercises simple combinations of capture and playback of PCM data using the Kernel Streaming (KS) interfaces.
All test cases return PASS or FAIL. You should review the test results in the generated log file for specific details about failures.
This test is installed as part of the Microsoft Windows Logo Kit (WLK) (Audio) kit.

Software Requirements
The test tool requires the following software:
- Supported operating system (see list above).
- Software components included with the device that is being tested.

- Computer that meets the minimum software requirements
- Windows keyboard
- Two-button pointing device
- Color display monitor capable of at least 1024 by 768 resolution, 32-bits per pixel, 60 Hz

Command Syntax
Command option | Description |

Without any options, starts the user interface |
-c [string] |
Starts the application and runs the test cases that are specified in the profile file (.pro) that [string] specifies. |
-h [string] |
Specifies the Plug and Play (PnP) ID of the device to test. Default is all devices. |
