System Requirements for the Targeted Logo System

For system testing, your computer must meet the following operating system and hardware requirements.
Operating System Requirements
You must use one of the following operating systems to run system tests:
Windows 7 - Test on Windows 7 Home Premium or greater
Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter
Windows Server 2008 x86 Datacenter
Windows Vista, with the following restrictions:
- You cannot use the Home Basic edition of Windows Vista to earn a Consumer-Premium logo.
- You cannot use Ultimate N or Business N edition of Windows Vista for logo testing.
- You must use the Ultimate Edition of Windows Vista to earn a logo for the Business and Consumer test category.
- The Ultimate Edition of Windows Vista is recommended for logo testing.
- The Starter Edition of Windows Vista is not supported for logo testing.

Hardware Requirements
The following hardware is required for system testing:
One computer that meets the minimum software requirements. This computer is the "system under test" and must include the following:
- x86-based, x64-based, and Itanium-based processor architectures
- The following amounts of memory, depending on the operating system and logo program that you are targeting:
- Windows 7
- X86: at least 1 GB of RAM
- X64: at least 2GB of RAM
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- The maximum RAM that the system can support
- Windows Server 2008 x86
- The maximum RAM that the system can support
- Windows Vista
- Basic logo: at least 512 MB of RAM
- Premium logo: at least 1 GB of RAM
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003
- The maximum RAM that the system can support
- Microsoft Windows XP
- At least 128 MB of RAM
- Windows 7
- A logo-compliant ACPI BIOS with ACPI enabled by default
- A hard disk drive with at least 20 GB of available memory on drive C
- A Windows keyboard
- A two-button pointing device
- A color display monitor that is capable of at least 1024x768 resolution, with 32 bits per pixel (bpp) and 60 Hz
- A CD or DVD drive
- An audio device (if the test system supports audio)
- An audio loopback cable (if the test system supports audio)
- A network adapter
One network hub
One USB flash drive (if the test system supports Trusted Platform Module [TPM])
One data CD (that is, non-audio CD)
One USB 2.0 hub
One additional computer. Some tests might require an additional system to complete testing. The additional computer should already have a logo.
One serial loopback RS232C connector that meets the following specifications:
