Type: Automated Test
Overview
The D3D Invalid Parameters test verifies that the system is stable and secure when invalid parameters are passed to the Microsoft Direct3D functions.
Details
The D3D Invalid Parameters test calls the Direct3D function with invalid parameters. Most of these invalid parameters are passed on to the display driver. Display drivers must validate parameters on data that user-mode clients generate to ensure that the system does not stop responding (that is, "crash" or "hang").
