2.1.1296 Part 4 Section 5.1.4.2.9, fill (Fill)

a. The standard states that the fill element defines the fill that is applied to the table as a whole.

Office uses this element to affect the table as a whole only if parented by tblBg.

b. The standard states that the fill element allows any blip fill to be valid.

Office requires that the blip fill not be empty when the fill element is parented by tcStyle.

This note applies to the following products: 2007, 2007 SP1, 2007 SP2.

c. The standard allows group fills to be applied to a table.

Office does not apply group fills to tables but instead uses a white background.
