Historical Document Repository

This location contains historical copies of Open Specifications documentation for protocols, file formats, languages, and standards. These documents are here for your convenience only. In some cases, the document has been replaced with a new document containing current implementation details. In others, the document is being retired as the technology described within it was never released in a shipping version of the product it is associated with or has been removed from the currently shipping product version.

It is recommended that you not rely on these documents. To the extent that you incur additional development obligations or any other costs as a result of relying on these historical documents, you do so at your own risk.
