Managing IPv4 Routes (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

Routingis a primary function of IP. Datagrams labeled with a source and destination IP address are handed to IP. IP examines the destination address on each datagram, compares it to a locally maintained route table, and decides what action to take.

Routing is turned on by default only if Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) or Bluetooth gateway configuration utility is used. If you do not include one of these Catalog items in your OS design and want to manage routes, you can enable IP routing manually.
