Using Site Packager

Commerce Server Site Packager is a deployment tool that has two primary uses. You use it to package your Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 site into a single file, including Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 or later settings (metabase), the file system, resources from the Administration database, and SQL Server databases. You also use it to unpack the Commerce Server site (or portions of it) onto other computers.

In most cases, Site Packager is used for the initial deployment of your site. For future deployments, incremental updates, and rollbacks, use other tools such as Microsoft Application Center 2000 or other content management products.
