Installing Windows Server AppFabric

The topics in this section walk you through Windows Server AppFabric setup. This includes planning, system requirements, preparing your computer with the necessary prerequisites, installation, and configuration.

AppFabric has three core capabilities: workflow management, service management, and caching. For composite applications, AppFabric extends the Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) and IIS Manager to make it easier to manage WCF and WF services built using .NET Framework 4. For Web applications, Caching Services provides caching capabilities to provide high-speed access, scale, and high availability to application data.
