ClaimsPrincipal.CreateFromIdentities Method (ClaimsIdentityCollection)

[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. Creates an appropriate IClaimsPrincipal object from a collection of claims-based identities.

Parameters

identities

A ClaimsIdentityCollection that contains the identities.

Return Value

An IClaimsPrincipal appropriate for the identities in the collection.

identities is empty or null.

If there is an identity based on a WindowsIdentity in the ClaimsIdentityCollection, a WindowsClaimsPrincipal is returned. The DefaultIssuer is used for Windows claims.


Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
